For UCHC Employees Only

The Health Center has adopted the use of the Healthstream computer based training system as the institutions primary means of completing OSHA’s mandated Bloodborne Pathogen Annual Training.  Due to irreparable security issues associated with the prior system, it had become obsolete.  All individuals who have potential human blood and body fluid exposure, regardless of the frequency and have attended an initial training session are required to complete the Healthstream computerized program and associated examination.  This program and examination can be found on the computer based training site and can be accessed as follows:

Every attempt was made to accurately assign employees the Bloodborne Pathogens Program.  Assignments were based on your previous participation within the former system or based simply on your job classification such as a nurse, physician, med tech, etc., per the Health Center’s Exposure Control Plan.  It is imperative that you promptly access the Healthstream System to verify your proper inclusion or exclusion in this program.  If you find your assignment to be incorrect, please notify the Office of Research Safety (X2723) or Staff & Patient Education at (X2826).   Non-UCHC employees such as students, residents and contract individuals will be provided instructions as they become available.
